New IUGG Web Site Additions The IUGG Annual Report for 2001 is now available on the IUGG Web Site. This report, prepared for the International Council for Science (ICSU), includes an introduction to IUGG as well as summaries of the activities of the Union and each of the Associations during the past year. To improve communications, the IUGG Bureau decided to publish summaries of the Bureau and Executive Committee meetings. Summaries of these meetings held in Sapporo in 2001 are now posted on the web site. The Executive Committee meeting summary includes an analysis of the results of the Questionnaire regarding "IUGG Structure, Goals, and Objectives" that was sent to all IUGG Adhering Bodies early in 2001. 2. André Berger receives 2001 European Latsis Prize Prof. André Berger, President of the IUGG National Committee for Belgium and IAMAS National Correspondent, recently received the 2001 European Latsis Prize in the field of climate research from the European Science Foundation. Prof. Berger was cited for his "outstanding contributions to the understanding of the Ice Age climate" and for "understanding how the climatic fluctuations are generated, using computer models of different complexity." A. Berger is a professor of climatology and meteorology at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. 3. Thomas Rosswall is the new Executive Director of ICSU Dr. Thomas Rosswall is the new Executive Director of the International Council for Science (ICSU), replacing Dr. Larry Kohler who returned to International Labour Organization in Geneva.
