The Post-Graduate Training School is organized under the aegis of the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG), the School and Observatory of Earth Sciences (EOST-IPG) and the Faculty of Geographical Sciences of the University Louis Pasteur. The school is untitled "Living with hydro-geomorphological risks: from theory to practice". The objective of the Post-Graduate Training School is to exchange ideas how to cope with hydro-geomorphological hazards using the most advanced, state-of-the-art methodology mainly associated to earth observation data and the use of new technologies of communication and information, to explain in practice different kind of mitigation and prevention strategies used to live with these hazards, and to develop interdisciplinary fruitful discussions. The school is organized in Strasbourg (France) from 14 to 19 September 2004. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: MAY 15th 2004. The IAG offers three grants for post-graduate or PhD students from southern Mediterranean and eastern Europe to allow the participation to the course.
